Sue S. Spackman, DDS, FASGD

Professor, School of Dentistry

A general dentist with certificates and fellowships in aging, teaching, and evidence-based dentistry. I have spent the last 25 years teaching dentistry at USC, UCLA and now Loma Linda. Loma Linda University School of Dentistry has embarked, under the leadership of Dr. Ron Dailey, to augment the curriculum in Aging and Oral Care which is a vital area of care in line with the vast and growing numbers of this population both in the US and throughout the world. I am very lucky to have been recruited for this effort by Dr. Janet Bauer and the Dean to create a care and training center in nearby San Bernardino for PACE (Project for the All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) where we will be teaching dental students to care for our aging dental patients who are living in place with this novel support program. This opportunity at Loma Linda University, School of Dentistry utilizes my many years of study and experience in Aging Care and Education in Clinical Dentistry. It is my hope that together we can improve, protect and prevent oral conditions from encroaching negatively upon the quality of life with increasing age.
