Cathy has worked for Sanitarium Health & Wellbeing – Australia and New Zealand’s largest health food company – for the past 24 years, where she is currently General Manager of Health & Wellbeing Services.
Cathy has a particular interest in the protective effects of diets based on whole plant foods, and in the influence of body, mind, heart and spirit on our experience of health and wellness. Cathy is passionate about sharing her knowledge to inspire others.
As the General Manager of Sanitarium’s Health & Wellbeing Services, Cathy is responsible for bringing to life the company’s vision to offer health service solutions direct to the community.
This role includes global management of CHIP (Complete Health Improvement Program) on behalf of the South Pacific Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church; the development and management of several additional businesses for the company including: Sanctuary Sanitarium, a health and wellbeing centre combining conventional and complementary therapies in Pyrmont Sydney and Vitality Works, which offers corporate health and wellbeing services and boasts some of Australia’s leading companies amongst its client list both in Australia and New Zealand.
Cathy’s role includes media spokesperson on nutrition and health issues, government advocacy and health professional communications programs.
An Accredited Practising Dietitian with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Food & Nutrition from the Queensland University of Technology, Cathy also holds a Masters Degree in Nutrition & Dietetics from the University of Sydney.
