Ernie Medina, Jr. earned a masters and doctorate in public health from Loma Linda University in 1993. From 1993 to 2014, Dr. Medina specialized in lifestyle at Beaver Medical Group, in Redlands, CA. Since January 2014, he came back to Loma Linda University as an Assistant Professor and interim Executive Director of the newly formed Center for Nutrition, Healthy Lifestyles, and Disease Prevention. Nicknamed the "Physical Activity Evangelist" for his promotion of physical activity events for over 25 years, he’s especially interested in utilizing technology to increase physical activity.
